Meet Our Orthodontic Specialist
A native of Summerfield, Dr. Olmsted graduated from the Northwest Guliford High School. He has even coached members of the Oak Ridge Orka Swim Club. Dr. Olmsted obtained his BS Degree in biological anthropology and anatomy from Duke University. An avid swimmer, he was also a member of the varsity men's swimming and diving team. In 2008, he earned his DDS from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, where he was also the student body president of UNC School of Dentistry. A year prior, he received an award for his student research at the American Dental Association/Dentsply Student Clinician Research Program.
A driven individual, Dr. Olmsted's education was far from complete. He went on to UNC for three more years, later obtaining his Masters and certificate in orthodontics. Before graduating with his Masters Degree, he was awarded the 2011 UNC-Chapel Hill Boka Hadzija Award for Distinguished Service.
Outside of the office, Dr. Olmsted works as a clinical assistant professor at UNC School of Dentistry. He is also an associate of an orthodontist in Charlotte, NC, and has been for two years.
Recently, Dr. Olmsted earned Diplomate status with the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition, one of his case studies was featured at the 2013 American Association of Orthodontists Meeting.
Meet Patti Parris
Patti Parris, our patient coordinator, was born and raised in Greensboro. She has worked in orthodontics for more than 25 years, doing both clinical and administrative work.
Outside of the office, you can find Patti reading, walking her beloved dogs, playing with her cat, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with her family. A mother of two, Patti and her husband, Wayne, are new grandparents and absolutely love it.
Meet Christina Easton
Our orthodontic assistant, Christina Easton is a proud member of our team. In August of 2012, she worked in sterilization for a pediatric office, soon realizing her dream was to be a dental assistant. Working towards her goal, Christina graduated from UNCG in May of 2013, where she acquired a BS Degree in public health. She also completed a dental assisting program at UNC Chapel Hill in May of 2014.
Like the other caring members of our team, Christina's love for orthodontics continues to grow with each passing day. She plans to continue learning about the field and improving her skills. Outside of the office, she's found outdoors, or at the lake with her friends and two dogs.
